Board of Directors
The Cypress Club is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The Board has the following standing committees:

Committees assist in making decisions to better the future of the Club. Any Member of any type can volunteer to be part of a standing committees, or any ad-hoc committee created by the Board for the operational year.
The President is elected by voting members annually at the club's AGM. The AGM is held the third week of May.
The President oversees the overall direction of the club, all club decisions made by the board and ensures the board is executing the business of the club for the benefit of all members.
All Primary Members (PM) and Lifetime Members (LM) are eligible to sit on the board and vote at the AGM.
The board for the 2023-24 operational year is as below.
Troy Wason has over 25 years experience developing and driving integrated strategic planning processes that deliver on long-term business objectives, including social media strategies, community engagement, and marketing. He is an internet research specialist and digital marketer with broad experience in traditional marketing areas as well as digital distribution channels, including database development, commercial photography, and personal or group web training. Troy holds a Master of Arts degree in intellectual history from the University of Calgary.

Chef Mike prepared an absolutely fabulous turkey dinner with all the fixings for our Thanksgiving this year. My wife and I were blown away with the quality of the meal and the generous portions. We will definitely make use of The Cypress Club again for our next holiday meal.
